Drawings, engravings, silk screen prints and graphic artwork in general are normally framed for exhibition. And framing work has usually been assigned to workshops with a limited knowledge of materials and ageing processes.
The main mistakes in framing are the use of self-adhesive tapes, glues or non-reversible adhesives in combination with wooden or chipboard backs that are in direct contact with the artwork. Stains and a partial or total yellowing of the substrate are the most common damages.
We remove the harmful components used in the framing of artworks and eliminate stains and spots.
